Russell Lownsbrough FIPG MNGG BA(Hons)
Russell Lownsbrough is a highly skilled, and experienced multi award-winning craftsman. He graduated from the world-renowned Central St. Martin’s School of Art and Design in 1991. He specialises in waxcarving and miniature sculpture, a service he provides to the trade. He has written a successful book on the subject with Danila Tarcinale FIPG, “Waxcarving for Jewellers”.
His collections are distilled from his interests in ancient history, natural history, mythology, sculpture and applied arts. Each collection has its own ethos and is a tiny world replete with strangeness and charm.
Russell loves to collaborate with clients on commissions to create unique and personal jewellery.
Danila has worked for top jewellery and fashion designers, (Vivienne Westwood,Thierry Mugler, Solange Azagury-Partridge, Lara Bohinc, Paul and Joe ) cutting edge fine artists
(Raquib Shaw, Damien Hirst), MP’s, models, rock and sports stars and chefs. Her work has been exhibited in Britain and abroad and has appeared on TV, theatre shows as well as in magazines and music videos. You can also find one of her pieces in the British Museum.
She describes her jewellery as “Italian Flavoured Jewellery with an English Twist” For those who have outgrown the ordinary but still admire excellent craftsmanship.
Danila offers a bespoke service of unusual yet traditional wedding and engagement rings as well as commission pieces to suit the client’s individuality and flare.
