Louisa Slade is a bespoke jeweller who specialises in redesigning family heirlooms into new contemporary designs. As well as bespoke remodelling she also creates ready-to-wear pieces using recycled gold and old-cut diamonds, honouring sustainable practices and stones that have had a previous life. Her work features granulation detail and molten metal texturing, created using ancient jewellery techniques.
Louisa started her journey in jewellery exploring Blacksmithing & Silversmithing and the art of forging metal into shape with heat and hammer. Techniques she now uses daily when reworking clients gold and precious metals.
With a love for the outdoors and the natural element, she takes inspiration from the power of nature and the lands ability to shift and grow. Her ready-to-wear collection is inspired from the tectonic plates, and the lands ability to move, transform and recreate.
