Bold juxtapositions of pattern, texture and contrasting coloured metals run through my recent pieces. Ideas are drawn from the world around me: peeling posters, fabric swatches, collage, landscape, ancient fragments … I use a variety of goldsmithing skills to transform my palette of golds, platinum, silver, gemstones and pearls into striking and distinctive pieces of jewellery. I am currently developing an exciting new collection, made using the latest technology, combining carbon coated titanium, white gold and diamonds in striking motorway-inspired designs. Whilst I have enjoyed an extensive and fulfilling career in jewellery, I continue to experiment with new techniques, and relish the discovery of unexpected shapes and shadows, the actual process of making often presents new possibilities and directions.
