Anna, from Annakin Jewellery, produces limited jewellery collections from hallmarked, recycled solid silver, 9ct, 18ct gold. Her passion is to bring women jewellery that they want to wear in today’s busy life. Working from her home studio in Shropshire, Anna’s ethos when designing and making her jewellery is to keep it simple, keep it elegant, contemporary with a traditional twist but just as important as all of these put together is to keep it wearable and built for a lifetime of wearing.
Anna is a great advocate for buying less and buying to last, to pass down the generations and to buy and collect for the love of it.
Both college and self-taught, Anna uses both traditional methods of jewellery making such as reticulation, forming, casting and precious stone setting and modern techniques such as CAD drawing and 3D printing. By pulling together these techniques Anna produces small collections and also bespoke pieces for customers who want to recycle their old jewellery into something more contemporary and wearable.
Anna shows at such events as Desire – Craft in Focus, Burghley and Badminton Horse Trials, Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair, private shows, various galleries and more recently, pop up’s, both in galleries, shops, stately homes and other private venues.
