I was born in Denmark where I grew up as well as in China and Belgium. In 1990 I moved to England to study Jewellery Design at the Kent Institute of Art and Design and while there I worked at De Vroomen Design and County Classics Jewellers in London and moved to Paris for six months where I trained and worked for Cartier.
After graduating from college in 1996 I decided to become a designer jeweller and moved into my first workshop in Clerkenwell, London. During the first few years I also worked as a jewellery designer for Garrard & Co. and D.A.Soleys. In 2000 I decided to concentrate fully on my own work.
In 2004 I moved my workshop to Crystal Palace and in 2017 I opened my shop, A L’Etage 2, where I sell work by over 100 Artists and Craftsmen. I make my jewellery in the workshop behind the shop helped by my apprentice, Kitty, who I took on after becoming a Freeman of the Goldsmiths’ Company in 2021. I have won several awards at the Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Competition, the latest a Silver prize in March 2025 and in April 2025 I became a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Goldsmiths. Since 1996 I have exhibited at over 280 shows.
I make simple and elegant jewellery for both special occasions and everyday wear. Each item is unique and handmade from high quality precious metals and often set with precious stones to add colour to the pieces. Often the shapes of the stones and the spaces in the pieces play important parts to the designs. I work straight in the metal or I carve the pieces in wax that gets cast in precious metal and then worked on. My stock prices range from £65-£2250.
