From Brushstroke to Bench – bespoke fine jewellery as personal as the story it tells, for today’s modern muse.

As an artist-goldsmith, Katherine brings a painter’s eye and deep love of art history to every piece she creates. She draws inspiration from Renaissance symbolism, ancient mythology, and celestial wonder. Working primarily in 18ct and 9ct gold, she creates both curated collections and bespoke commissions. Each bespoke piece begins with a hand-painted watercolour design that becomes part of the client’s heirloom alongside the finished jewellery.

Katherine grew up in the wings of opera houses, watching her parents, a conductor and a stage manager, bring other worlds to life. Between them, she learned that creativity needs both vision and precision to thrive. She was captivated by the glamour but also loved the quiet backstage world, the rehearsals, the fine-tuning, the discipline and rigour behind the magic.

That rhythm became her foundation. She trained first as a painter, completing a master’s in fine art and exhibiting surreal, myth-rich works in London while working alongside celebrated artist Patrick Hughes. But it wasn’t until she retrained as a goldsmith, completing diplomas in both silver and fine jewellery, that everything clicked. Jewellery brought all the parts of her together – storytelling, craftsmanship, emotional resonance – in a precious medium designed to last lifetimes.

Katherine has exhibited her jewellery at Goldsmiths North Fair in Sheffield and The Forge Space in London. She works from her North London studio creating pieces that bridge art historical knowledge with contemporary goldsmithing.
