Kate Bajic is a British jeweller with over two decades of experience creating distinctive, nature-inspired jewellery. She has exhibited her jewellery at numerous prestigious shows including Goldsmiths’ Fair, SIERRAD and Mad About Jewellery. Working from her studio in a rural East Midlands village, she takes direct inspiration from the surrounding countryside, focusing particularly on botanical forms. Her fascination with the natural world is lifelong, and it remains the foundation of her creative process.
Through photography and drawing, Kate studies the fine details of plants, translating their patterns, structures, and textures into wearable works of art. Her jewellery is crafted using traditional hand-fabrication techniques, including hand chasing, intricate piercing, and repoussé, allowing her to add depth and dimension to metal surfaces. She embraces the small irregularities that arise during making, seeing them as marks of authenticity that bring energy and individuality to each piece.
