Judith Peterhoff is a contemporary fine jeweller based at Cockpit Arts Deptford London. Judith studied jewellery design at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design Maastricht (MAFAD) in the Netherlands where she was encouraged to experiment, discovering her love for the curious. After graduating, Judith moved to London where she gained invaluable experience in Hatton Garden, working for some of London’s top jewellers. She explored, learned and honed her skills as a maker. In 2019 Judith graduated from the business incubator ‘Setting Out’ by the Goldsmiths’ Centre and launched her eponymous jewellery brand – Judith Peterhoff.
Judith has always been inspired by textures and details, specifically in the human form. She is fascinated by freckles in a face, a beauty mark on a cheek or the port-wine stain on her niece’s hand. These ‘perceived imperfections’ give a person their own unique and beautiful stamp. At the foundation of her brand are these imperfections, to celebrate and embrace them. She translate these into ready-to-wear and fine jewellery that can be worn with pride and handed down through the generations.
Judith’s jewellery has an organic, dappled aesthetic and is effortlessly elegant with a focus on materials, wearability and ease. Beautifully designed and skillfully crafted, her pieces imbue a sense of the unexpected, celebrating unconventional beauty. Her delicate and tactile jewellery is made from recycled silver & gold, embellished with gemstones and diamonds. All of Judith’s jewellery is designed and made in England. Her production process combines cutting-edge technologies with her traditional bench skills. Each piece is hand-finished in her London studio by merging CAD technology with lost wax casting.
