Iain Sainsbury

In 2018, after two decades in the pharmaceutical industry Iain left this career through burnout and found designing and making jewellery during his recovery.

His vision is creating modern and one-of-a-kind timeless designs with the recurring theme of contrast, achieved through stark juxtaposing textures, rough sandcasting with beach sand against fine finishes and stone setting. This reflects the contrasts of his career from the chaos of his previous corporate life to the simplicity and clarity of his current life.

Iain reimagines iconic designs, such as sculptures, or jewellery styles using beach sand to create contrasting textures, and gemstones to add emphasis and colour.

All pieces are handmade in his workshop with ethically sourced gemstones and either single mine origin or recycled precious metals.
