Inspiration for my work comes from natural forms, flowers, pods, seeds and leaves as well as fruit and vegetables. Colour features strongly in the form of enamel under which the metal is engraved. In my work I am looking for the essence of a plant or form, and try to bring out what really strikes me, colour, form or the pattern that occurs between various leaves. I make all types of jewellery and encourage men to also wear a pin or brooch on their lapel.
Most men are far too conservative! I love to work to commission which always takes me in a slightly new direction which is exciting.
I have run my own workshop and taught jewellery skills for many years but I am now concentrating on my own work and development alongside teaching a few enamelling workshops.
