Hannah Keddie is an emerging designer and silversmith based in the Scottish Borders at the Marchmont Silversmithing Workshop. As a graduate of the Jewellery & Metal Design programme at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (2021), Hannah discovered an interest for sculptural objects during her studies, where she began to explore the intersection of function and artistry in metalwork.
Growing up in the coastal terrain of the Black Isle was a creatively formative experience for Hannah, which soon led to a fascination with the ocean’s flora and fauna. Her work celebrates the resilience and peculiarity of the living world through the tactile qualities of silver.
Hannah’s current works draw inspiration from the diverse creatures inhabiting Scotland’s surrounding waters. By reimagining their distinctive forms and surface patterns, each piece evolves into a creature of its own.
