Fiona McAlear Jewellery

My training took place on a BA at Manchester School of Art and was followed by a year at the renowned Bishopsland Educational Trust. I am now based at Yorkshire Artspace, Sheffield, where my time is spent thinking up new bespoke ring ideas that use sustainable materials for customers who also have a love for nature.

Precious gemstones are selected from traceable sources plus recycled and Fairtrade gold options are offered in my bespoke service.

It is my passion to create unique and intricate jewellery that is inspired by nature. I am fascinated by the natural world around us and how we interact with it and so I take notice of trailing canopies of Ivy or delicately strung garlands of Jasmine. My work captures these details and turns them into forever pieces of jewellery.

My organic and precious collections have developed from over 13 years of experience at the workbench. Designs often grow and develop as I work, using a fine hand saw I pierce individual petals in silver and gold, building up a piece in front of me into a unique 3D form.
