Angela Evans creates light, expressive jewellery inspired by a deep connection to water—its movement, the play of sunlight across its surface, and the life it sustains. A dedicated rower in both the Welsh countryside and the Venetian lagoons, Angela draws from her time on the water in these unique environments to inform and shape her work.
For over 20 years, she has worked primarily with silver and gold wire, a medium that allows her to capture the fluid, shifting patterns of tides with a sense of delicacy and motion. Her pieces often incorporate responsibly sourced gemstones, rich textures, and intricate granulation techniques—each design an intuitive reflection of the ideas and passions that inspire her. Rather than follow trends, Angela remains true to her distinct artistic voice, creating jewellery that is unmistakably her own.
Looking ahead, Angela is developing a new body of work featuring her own alloyed gold, made possible through advanced training awarded by the Benevolent Society. This upcoming collection will explore the interplay of different coloured golds, using fine wire to build form and structure with a renewed sense of depth and dimension.
